I run an Arlen Ness Big sucker and Vance and Hines slip ons.
Is race tuning worth $650? Will I actually notice a change in the way it runs or sounds?
My dad done his Dyna and it made a huge difference. But it seems a bit pricy. Any suggestions?

friend of mine put a Wimmer Better Sucker intake and and thunderheader on his stock twin cam. Took it in and had it tuned....they squeezed an extra 27 horsepower of of it.

thats enough to convince me.
I assume that's a fuel injected bike. Were those corrected numbers?
To the original post. I didn't think to ask of it was a carb or injected bike.

Yea, the evo sportster is fuel injected.
I've heard that tuning them does alot of good, but I just wanted to make sure before I dropped that kinda cash on it. Mostly people I know with big twins has done it, I didn't know anyone that tuned a Sporty,

Well if the ECM is completely stock as of now, your running lean which will kill your motor. It needs to be at least remapped. I would just get a tuner and find some maps online and try it out. If thats above your skill level (hopefully not) take it somewhere.
