Honda Shadow 750 air cleaner abomination

I've a 04' Honda Shadow Aero 750, one of the things I would really like to do away with is the huge plasti-chrome teardrop shaped air filter housing/cover. It may be even uglier than the stock exhaust that was on there. I'd really like to have a smaller round vintage/classic type housing, any suggestions/links/pics?

    Thanks.

You're certainly right about it being an abomination..it was one reason I never felt like buying an Aero :-(

You can remove the hole housing and run a couple pancake filters in the tubes themselves that go to the carbs and of course rejet and adjust a/f screws to what's needed. It's hard on the 750's being a twin cause without a custom manifold to convert to a single carb you are kinds Sol!

You might find it easier to run a 750 spirit air cleaner. It's still a little bulky though...

id just keep it on, paint it black to hide it or something. shadows dont wanna run right after you mess with the airbox imo.

Yeah it's a single carb. Thanks for the ideas so far, just not sure what I'm doing with it yet, any more ideas???
