For the record, I didn't delete your comment and I seriously doubt any other mod did. While I don't think people's commentary and opinions on classifieds are helpful, none of us go through and delete or moderate them.
Whether it make sense to sell something for more than you paid for it is up to each seller. I don't really even understand why that question is even getting asked. Sell what you want for the price you want. Some shit costs money because it is more exclusive and that is important to some people. Really, who cares? Buy, sell, ride, wear what you want.

That's not really the point.
Why is anything cool? Why do Panheads cost more than a 15 year old big twin?
If I tried selling my girlfriend's used panties, depending on the level of perverts here, it wouldn't sell for that much.
If I told you my girlfriend is Keira Knightley and we went jogging with those panties, I could get, like, $10,000 bux.
I don't think it's cool to bust a seller's balls. No one is obligated to buy anyone's stuff.
If I did find a mega pervert on here that would pay $500 for my chick's panties, I'd fucking sell them for sure. And I wouldn't want any sass about how they're not worth $500.

4Q Conditioning is Max Schaaf. He is a motorcycle builder, tank painter, professional skateboarder, and he sometimes produces limited runs of things like wallets and belt buckles - over which young hipster bikers and haoles go ga-ga. He is basically the Brad Pitt or Robert Pattinson of the biking world: all the guys want to be him, and all the girls want to be with him. He's got an impeccable sense of aesthetics when it comes to bike building, imho.

So the guys products bring money. Good for whoever has them and wants to sell them. Also good for whoever wants to own them and rub in them in the faces of the piss ants that can't afford them. I guess those would be the hipsters? Some people call them collectors. The guy is an artist. Maybe one of the few that will see decent money for his work BEFORE he kicks off. I'm not sucking the dude off or anything. I've never personally met him. I hear he's ok. Maybe he's a douche canoe. I'm sure he doesn't care what I think. But I do like his work. I haven't got shit for cash though so I probably couldn't buy more than a sticker. So what's the point of this post? There is none. We are fighting over supply and demand. That's the fucking basis of all friggin' commerce in the free world. I bought a sweet ass, all original, absolutely perfect '52 wishbone frame last week for $300. If I sold it today I want $4000. That's the market price set by the antique AMCA restoration hipsters. So am a d-bag if I ask that price? The factory didn't get that much for it new so do I need to give them some now?
I just wasted 5 minutes of my life thinking about this.
