Damn that looks sweet. Is that the same front wheel or is it larger?

Anyone have a hardtail evo (preferably later evo) sporty with +8 Forks? I've found many +6 evo sporty examples and some +8 but all swingarm.

I'm pretty set on +8 for my 2002 but wouldn't mind seeing some examples.

          Thanks in advance!

How do you rake the cups, or install "raked" cups? I want to do 6" longer on my 1996 Sportster XL1200S, then add ape hangers.

I am running a two inch over narrow glide on my panhead along with a set of 3 degree raked cups. The cups just fit in where your old cups fit. With these it lowered the frame, at the sidecar loops, about an inch. It is subtle but should help the handling a bit and definitely gives me the stance I want.

Bike is in a million pieces right now or I would post a pic.

You don't. Your frame has no fork bearing cups, the races are installed directly into the steering tube of the frame. The raked cups are for older frames with separate fork bearing cups.

Thank you very much for that information. Is there any way to change the rake without chopping my frame?

No. There are "raked trees" available, but they do not change the rake. They are used to reduce trail on raked/extended front ends where the trail is getting excessive. If you use them on your stock rake frame, you may reduce the trail to an unacceptable amount, and induce handling problems.

There are kits for doing a 3* rake using stock trees ...

2001 Sportster Custom with the 3* kit installed ...

"No Modifications" are needed on the frame, plug and play ..
