finally on the road this week, just a few small issues to iron out. many thanks to various members of the peanut city geeks for their help and encouragement, paricularly markee, will g, danny d, and winslow. also brad at gypsy choppers, my father-in-law, and especially a local aircraft restoration mechanic tom kurtz who spent lots of time teaching me how to do all kinds of stuff i wouldn't have imagined i could do. he made a lot of things make sense. these are just a few of many who took the time to help me out, and i appreciate it.

kilby deuce custom hardtail
stock engine, PAMCO electronic ignition, dyna 3 ohm coils
front brake caliper from some sportbike rear, master cylinder from yamaha raptor quad
ASV "unbreakable" (quotes, haha) levers for yamaha quad
tank chopped by poop, tunnel fab and welding by gypsy choppers, site gauges by kilby deuce
tank filler cap from stock cb500t tank, cut and stolen
pipes and intake by poop, ceramic coated by andy at thermal tech
cam chest breather lines by poop, chest covers drilled and tapped for brass barbs
rear brake designed and fabbed by poop, with help from friends
trick fender mounts that adjust straight back at six points using heim joints to follow wheel at chain adjustments
pivot pegs rotating mx pegs, mounted by poop
seat designed and fabbed by poop, with help from friends
rock shox pearl shock from mountain bike for seat suspension. air/oil adjustable spring rate, damping and gate valve
custom leather grips, seat leather and battery box by local saddle guru, mike fowler
(that's unknown hinson on the seat, and yours truly on the battery box)
paint by danny dailey
many parts powdercoated by poop and friends in an old kitchen oven
pull chain switches with majority of wiring stuffed in headlight, using relays and diodes

Useless trivia: At the time the cb450/500 DOHC twin was made it had the longest timing chain of ANY production vehicle.

thanks, everyone. i'm very happy with it. brandon, i'll give you a shot. ;-)

detale, i'll post some at the bottom of this entry. the old pictures only have one pull chain, it now has two. the switches are only made for a very small amperage, so they need to be wired in with relays. three different relays in that bucket, along with two diodes and two inline fuses.

slick, the seat actually is VERY comfortable. designed after the horse saddles i grew up with, and fitted and hammered dozens of times, it's crazy comfortable, even without fine tuning (yet to be done) on that pearl mountain bike air shock. truth is, it's pretty cushy, but makes me look tough. ;-)
