take it to you local radiator shop and have to flushed and a new liner put in. i just had the same thing happen with some fat bob tanks i bought. liner is tough to get out of a tank and easy to fuck up when putting it in. it only cost me 40 bucks. good deal then buying sealer and accetone a couple times when i messed it up

don't use the acetone base air dry sealers like Kreem. they are a waist of money, todays gas will dissolve them.
buy a 2 part epoxy sealer like Caswell's tank sealer

Redkote is a solvent based sealer that is dissolved by acetone and MEK and todays gasoline has many solvent based fuel injector cleaners in it.

guess what happens...

Good to know. Thanks. What would you advise? A couple of tank shops swear by it, and I've had bad luck with Kreem.

check out a 2 part epoxy tank sealer like Caswells, I've been fucking with gas tanks for a long time and it is the only one I'll ever use or sell.

As long as you keep gas in your tank you don't need a liner. I've many different tanks for years with nothing but bare steel on the inside.

I think everyone would agree, if you tank doesn't leak don't seal it.
