Has anyone else noticed the similarity?

I have been seeing these new Fiat 500's running around the city and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why.

One day at a stop light it dawned on me when I saw a PT Cruiser and a Fiat 500 on either side in front of me. I photoshoped up something to help you understand what I am seeing.

its hard to find a car that really sticks out from the crowd anymore. its sad i speak with my dad and the older guys and they tell me about back in the day and how everything was new or this style they created and i look at my generation and its just nothing original that really stands out. its all about repetition.

aerodynamics ruined car design. When fuel efficiency became important classic car design disappeared. Now tweaks a proven airfoil model is what passes for car design.

My sons call them all "jelly beans". Even little kids know what's kool.

Climb into a Fiat 500 (if you'll fit in it) sometime and take a look at the dash..pure retro glory. Plenty of references to the tiny Fiats of a bygone era..

Get into a PT cruiser..no impression no appeal at all.

Climb into a BMW mini...the interior looks like it was designed by a ten year old boy.

The interior was one thing that Fiat got right. I have no idea if the car's any good to drive or if they hold up at all.

I've driven a PT a few times and been very "underwhelmed" I don't think I could stomach paying BMW's asking price.

So I'm gonna keep driving the truck :-)
