Finally......My bike

We I got a little time off being Easter Sunday, So I decided to slip into shop and clean up some stuff, I noticed my frame sitting on the floor and I had a empty build rack sitting right next it so I thought I'd go ahead and mock it up.
I blew the motor trying to haul ass down to the Slab City Riot in 2010 and it's been torn apart ever since. I did a mock up with another front end a while ago trying for a different for look for Grace.
Some of you might remember my bike when C/C did a news article on it, here is a link to http://www.chopcult.com/news/article...h-chopper.html.
Well, here is the new look, The new theme appears to be "Old Chrome". The motor is almost done now so I need to get it together for the ride to Born Free 4.

Knowing you Tony you're probably going to totally screw this one up. I can't turn my head when there's a good train wreck about to happen...

Sarcasm sensed?

thanks guys, I'll try to get some more work done on the motor, I need to put the head on and then open up the trans and find out whats up with second gear.

anyone out there got a pre unit TR6 trophy (shorter) rear fender for this bike??? I'll buy it or trade parts for it.

More pics as soon as I get the motor done.

Brandon- the frame is chrome, but it's all old chrome.

Pete,
I've got a whole bunch of cool old parts I've been saving up and I'm just gonna put it together with all those parts, the engine/trans is gonna be newly rebuilt with some more trick parts on it

Schweeet. Hey, I dig those webco extensions.

A quick question for you, I have a 73 head I'm planning on using. It has those ugly cast alloy, chunky intakes. Any reason I couldn't replace them with the cool ribbed ones? I'd have to add the balance tube right?

yes and no. the distance from the carb to the head in respect to the exhaust flow greatly affects the power the engine makes.
by reducing that distance you will reduce the magic rpm that all the torque curves cross each other.
the 1.75 diameter pipes make power at a real high rpm and the shorter intakes make power at a lower rpm. if you want to go with the shorter intakes it will work but Triumph was trying to make more power with those longer 73 manifolds.
and the balance tube helps but is not mandatory. my manifolds have a balance tube added in but most Mikuni manifolds don't have any.
check to see if the carbs will even clear the rocker boxes without the stock manifolds, that may decide it for you.

Yeah, it's ok I guess. Personally, I thought that frame looked better in it's previous life with a '74 T140 motor stuffed in it sitting next to a hut in Farmington New Mexico. I almost forgot what an adventure it was picking that thing up.

But seriously, your bike looks killer. What are you going to do for an oil tank?
