I replaced the stock spark plug wires with SCOTT suppression core wires a while back when i relocated my coil. So i should be good to go there.

Hey SALTYTONK. Thx for the help & suggestions man! Got the dyna 2000 kit w/ single fire coil. The bike is running so damn good. It's pinging very slightly on take off. Do you know which way to turn the module to retard the timing? Thx.

Since I am getting the same unit, I want to know how you guys routed the wires from the cone to the coil. I mean I know how it hooks up but just curious how you routed the wires since you don't have to go to the stock control module location anymore

I routed mine on top of the frame , under the engine and went to the left side and up behind the primary and went up the seat post behind battery box then up the back bone to top motor mount and dropped down there. If that makes sense...... kinda confused myself some ...hahaha

Ok, that makes the most sense. Then you probably ran the 12v with the wires as it comes up passed the battery and up the backbone ya?

Yeah they should give you a cut of the profit.......I tried moving the ignition module a little counter clockwise yesterday and still pings on take off. Im going to have it timed on Thursday and possibly have them put it on the dyno. Ill post the results when done.

I'm considering getting the same ignition kit for my 2000 883 Hugger. But, looking at the description on the Dynatek site and everywhere else, it says it is for 1970-98 models. Will it still work on my 2000 model? Also, I've found a few Ultima brand 2Ki kits around for significantly cheaper than the Dynatek brand. I believe somebody said the Ultima brand ingnition was also made by Dynatek. Is this true?

Okay, I found out that Dynatek makes the ignition for the Ultima engines and makes the ignitions that Ultima sells as well. It's amazing how much difference a sticker makes in the price.
