Somewhat stock wiring on a hardtail Sporty

Alright so I've read through some of the wiring things on here but I'm a little baffled at where the stock circuit breakers, starter relay, and ignition condensor is stuffed after hardtailing a bike. Everything is so exposed and I can't figure out where to tuck this shit.

Can the ignition condenser get wet? I wanted to put it under the battery tray.

Any pointers will help tremendously.

This is my wiring harness at the moment. My biggest frustration is the placement of the 4 circuit breakers.

I'm only running 3 fuses on my sporty... I also ditched all the starter wiring by running a solenoid button on my starter... I ran all my wires through the back bone of the frame to go up to your ignition coil and headlight wiring... I hid my fuses on the back side of the motor near the rear motor mount... there is like a little nook back there that you can hide stuff.. hope this helps some

So you ditched the stock circuit breakers and ran fuses? I thought about doing that but wasn't sure if it was a good way to go about it. I greatly appreciate the help!

Yeah i went with fuses... I picked up some water proof fuse holders at radio shack... they are much easier to hide then circuit breakers

this may not be the route you're looking for, but it's easier to chopper wire your bike with an aftermarket ignition (dyna s dual fire) and a soleniod push button on your starter than it is to salvage anything (including stock ignition) from your hd wiring harness. FYI, breakers are the way to go, you don't have to carry around a pocket of fuses if you ever have a shorting issue, the breaker will open, and once you turn the bike off it'll reset itself.

if you choose to go the chopper wire route, you don't have a need for any relays, and you can literally have a 4 wire system that is clean and by the time you get done wiring it you'll know how to do it and trouble shoot it if you ever have problems in the future.

I will be getting a solenoid push button and I'm looking into an aftermarket ignition but it might not happen right now. It looks the advantage of fuses vs breakers is the size and ability to hide them.

Here's the diagram I drew up last night.

What brand aftermarket ignition do your recomend for a 2000 883? I'm doing the same thing. Do you run the VOES? or by pass it?

Dyna S is pretty choice... Very simple to use, you just need to pick up a mechanical advance unit with the ignition... Any other electronic ignition will work fine.. I recommend running voes... you can run without it, some performance loss will be seen... how much or how it feels i cant say

Im running a Vulcan engineering ignition, it can be wired to function either single or dual fire, depending on what coil u decide to run, it has a timing led light on the unit for ease of timing setting. Cost 110 I believe. I don't run the voes system on anything I wire, the Vulcan and dyna ignition both require mech advAnce so there's no need for the voes. Most crane and twin tec ignitions have a mode selection on the actual unit that will allow u to run with or without voes.
