Default 60's, 70's long fork tubes on chops.

is it just a matter of using longer 'tubes' to get that early chopper look ? do you have to compensate anywhere else for that 'jacked up ' style ? i think it really looks cool, but wondered if it's as easy to do as it appears...b.

Yes, it's that easy. I dig the look, and am doing it myself...... +12" springer with no extra rake. Be aware, that your bike will NOT handle like it used to though.

Well one thing is for sure. You'll need a longer kick stand.

I installed 4" over tubes and was REAL suprised how it affected the steering geometry.Frame was raked to 35 degrees. To my pussy self the bike was unrideable. The fact that I was tryin' a new set of handlebars made it worse.Yeah,so you want to be a chopper pilot eh? The frontend wanted to flop over while turning, not fun. Got the steering geometry to where its much better and trashed my new bars(no leverage at all). Now building new bars that work. I really dig the long bikes of the 70s but would love to try to ride some those magazine bikes.Never heard anyone say yeah it looks good but its a pain in the ass to ride.
