The Blue Plate Special: '76 CB750 Cafe Project

Been a while since I've started a thread on here, so here it goes. 1976 cafe project is a few months underway. Going to use this as a place for up to date pictures/info on the project, since I figure y'all would enjoy it.

    Day 1:

    1st tank 'upgrade'

    Tail section upgrade

    2nd tank upgrade

    Initial tank modification

    Tank mod full finished

As it sits right now, spoked wheels are now gone and we'll be using Henry Abe wheels for the front and back.

Thanks! Renato Cardone did an outstanding job on it.

Ditto on the tank. I like the direction it's going.

What did you do with the tail section from the first pic? Did you sell it or do you still have it and if you still have it, are you willing to part with it and sell it? Let me know cause I'd be interested in picking it up if you wanna unload it.

HaHa, I was thinking the same thing. I had to do more than one double take.

Looks good though. Can't wait to see how that wheel looks mounted.

Original tail section has been trashed, was super crooked and looked like hell. Sorry dude.

                        All good. Had to ask.

Question with the 1st tank upgrade: Is that a nighthawk tank? Early DOHC tank? Does it fit the frame rails without having to mess with the petcock? May not be right for a cafe, but could be interesting for a different direction! The new, modded tank looks killer btw!

First tank upgrade was a Nighthawk tank, was a great fit but was kinda small for the modifications we were planning.

Thanks bud! If you' want to help offset the cost of this project, I may be interested in buying that tank off of you? Something to think about!
