There were a few issues with the event. The main one was that it was underattended. The other main issue was that the parking guy was pointing bikes down the hill to the overflow, rather than to the main parking area (which had plenty of room). These two things, coupled with the general layout of the event, spread things out too much and made the key element of motorcycles get diluted by pin-up girls, clowns, music, art, a big-ass house, and whatever else was going on.

As originalrumrunner pointed out, we promoted the shit out of this thing on here, Dice and other blogs, at Hippy Killer, the swap meet, the Born Free pre party, TriCo, Dixie, and wherever we went.

With involvement from Biltwell, Dice, Hippy Killer, Eternal Combustion, Flying Monkey Fabrications, Pangea Speed, Cro Customs, Still Kicking, the Ballards, and whoever else chipped in to help throw this thing, we figured we would get quite a few bikes. We knew from experience that people are leary of new things and that the first one could be a bit sparse, but we were also urged by our friends who put on events like Born Free, Slab City Riot, and El Diablo Run to stick with it and plan on the next one's getting bigger and drawing more & more bikes.

We are planning to do more events, so if you have any feedback, lay it on us. Also, like Ryan said, don't hold back, if I want an ego stroke I'll call his mom too.

By the way, we still have a bunch of beer and hot dogs, so we will be throwing an after party soon. The after party will be free and somewhere around LA.
