Hallå.
Does calle have those hardtails ready to order for the xs, or are they custom made on your order?
Nice bike any how, been sweeping "blocket" for a nice xs to start my own little project.

Tjenare!

Haha, did you notice the spacers with the engraving on the first page? Falken... (its my nickname due to my last name)

It was custom made on my order, using the stock frame to make things easier with sfro. They work fast though.

Yeah, not to many around as it seems. I couldn't pass it up when I got a chance.
hope you find one! they are fun bikes.

Did notice that. Using it myself on various forums since im from falkenberg.
So you are planning on have it registerd as a hardtail, thats nice. I wasent sure what sfro would say about that, but sure is nice if it can be done. Will have to follow this tread and see how it turns out.

okay, so i finished my 400, and man have I missed riding.

this is how it turned out:

I also got some work done on the 650, its now my main priority.

Mounted the tank and seat today, and I also made a pedal kicker out of the original. I got a die tap for 9/16 bicycle pedals. The one I fitted is not the one i'll be using, just to see that it works and how it will look. I still got some cleaning up to do around the welds, but im on my way now.

the kicker:

And finally a pic with the tank and seat in place:

cool! would like to see what you've done!
i have some friends in malmö that are from karlstad. never been though.
The hardtail is stretched about 10cm.

Today I started with the foot pegs. I've seen it done on some other chops, most recently inmotionphotographys xs650, where you use the stock foot pegs and cut them up. Then the plan is to weld it in place on the tab, and the two tabs together to make it secure.

Are those the stock foot pegs of a SX650? What diameter are the bolts connecting 'em to the frame?

Did the rear fender work out for ya?

well, actually the pegs themselves are harley pegs. hence the writing. this means i got alot of aftermarket pegs to choose from later on. The mount though, that is from the 650. just cut the stock pegs off and bolted the new peg in. think its 10mm, not sure though. ill check tomorrow, cause tomorrow is garage day! yeah buddy. and then if the fender fits ill mount it up.

stay tuned.

cool. hope to see more pics as it progresses!

i got a new rear fender, thanks to stabler, and it works out much better than the old one. thanks dude! so started making bungs for it. this is a pic of the mock-up.

also started on a brake stay, and an electronic box. also decided to go with a white and seafoam green paint job.

will be wrapping this up within the next few weeks hopefully and get it on the road. and then do some more tweaks.

can't wait myself to see how this turns out.

so, have been doing some small stuff lately. No big breakthrough, but all those little things that have to be done.

shortened the original brake-stay:

still needs some work but at least it holds up.

bent the side stand.

polished the forks and put them back together.

and this is my idea for the electronics-box:

still not sure. any ideas?

in the last pic you can also see the bungs i made for the fender. not sure if im going with 2 bungs or 1 and a plate across the fender. any input on that?

and no daveys, no swedish thread. hows your build coming along?

Hi guys.

A little slow progress, just got myself another job, so not so much free time to spend in the garage, on the other hand I can finish the build money-wise faster. haha.

got some things done today. last night i spent changing tires on my 400, real happy how it came out with the bigger tires.

got my fender mounted, still needs cutting. don't want any sides below the upper frame tube:

made a brake-stay mount and welded the tube to hold my brake pedal.

now I just need to weld on a bracket for the spring, then I got myself a working rear-brake.

also got some flake you can shoot with some clear in a normal gun. some polyester-something.

tried the silver kind on a helmet i've got going as a side project. Note that it still needs a couple of layers of clear, but it's getting there.

doesn't really come through that well, when it's finished i'll take some pics in the sun.
