I wear these anti-vibration gloves made for jackammering, etc. ... they have them with the fingertips pre-chopped as well.

Yeah, they're yellow but I figure MAYBE the blue hairs will see my "turn signal" and it makes my flip off that much happier looking.

Naw. I'm always riding, and my handlebar grips are hockey tape. So that may be the cause.

I've had Death Grips for over a year, and they look nothing like that. The leather is a little faded and I wear them in the rain a lot, but for the most part, they've held up awesomely. I've got Mechanix impact gloves and some cheap waterproof BILT gloves from Cycle Gear, too. Death Grips are my favorite.

Living in Minnesota, I'm riding in the 30s to the 90s so it requires a range of gloves:
    • Summer: Biltwell gloves - not much padding/protection, but I love these gloves!
    • Spring & Fall: Deerskin gloves (I bought mine at Aerostich) and a set of removable liners to wear under them (bought at local farm store)
    • Winter: Snowmobile-style for when it's really cold
