    Default SPCL'79 Ironhead build

Ok, here's a little catch-up of the ironhead build that has been a "work on it a little as I can" type of project and been moved to the "get this thing finished before the end of March 2012" type of project.

The begining. Hardtail a '74 stock frame and run 19" wheels front and rear

    Tail section beginings.

this thing is going to look insane! I love how you manage to make it all look good, even befor it finishes....

did you tack that sheet metal down through it, into the tubing? i got junk sheet metal, lowered my machine and was still burning right through it...

Yup, drilled small holes and did rosette welds to attach the seat pan to the frame before I formed it over the edge. Just have to make sure you don't have any gap between the sheetmetal and tubing before welding.

The electrics box will house the relays, key switch, and a couple toggles.

This bike has been really fun to build. The motor/trans looked good at a quick glance but will be going through a complete rebuild.

I don't remember if you mentioned his on your blog or not...if so my apologies.

What grade and thickness of aluminum did you use for the electrical box and oil bag?

By the way I really like your blog and YouTube videos. I think I have watched those a couple of times each. Thanks for doing those.
