Thunderbird 51 from sweden

Hi
I´m building a Thunderbird -51 chop during the long winter in sweden

here is a crappy picture from first mock up...

I´m not going to renovate engine or gearbox because it was fully functional when I rode it last summer as a original Thunderbird -51 and it was renovated by the previous owner.

Tank is a NOS Banana that I found cheap at a swap meet... Rear mudguard is replica wassell from Barons

I´m just going to paint mudguard and tank in close to original blue metallic. Got some help from local paint shop to found that a Huyndai color was spot on.

my first bike was a 1952 Thunderbird. i kick myself for ever getting rid of it.

Tanks for the comments ...... about the non symmetric paint job .....yeaah partly it´s becuase I couldnt decide what to to do .... hopefully it will turn out good in the end

Awesome seat from Bear parts also arrived fabricated a front mount and it looks so good.

Now I´m wating for my chrome parts to be ready 1 month late now .... my new front rim are waiting 21" wm1 to be laced.

Very nice! It`s pissing with rain though, shame to take it out and spoil that new chrome
