So I hammered a 5" x2" deep depression in the end of a block, and started pounding and sitting on it for fitment, its really comfortable,I even got the little depressions in the middle of it for those bones in your ass,I did not do that on my last seat and could feel it..

Thanks, this has all been built with simple tools, the axle plates were "milled" with a die grinder, and all the notches were made with a angle grinder and die grinder. My frame jig was pretty basic, just some braces and axle holder welded to my table......I have been messing with seat mounting, first I got some light duty trailer springs,it still seemed to hard so I got some old snowmobile springs and ended up settleing with a maine spring, overload spring and a smaller spring on the seat end to help keep the front of the seat down through its travel, the sled springs were soft and it seemed the main and overload were bent so they work against each other,I dont know how ealse to explain but i played with bending the 2 springs for awhile and what I came up with seemed to eliminate much of the bounce in the travel of the seat.

Thanks blackbetty,i love your bike and followed your engine thread....heres a shot of where im at now.ordered a exhaust from hoos racing, waiting on that, and a few bits and pieces to sort then its time for paint,I might just ride it this summer in the raw though.the fender is a ironhead front I removed about a inch in the middle, then tried to reradius it a bit to fit the tire tight..
