Great write up. I am doing one on my current project with a single bag but it's big about 4" in diameter. I am running a compressor because I want it to go down when not in use. Does you system have a bleed down into the tank or is it up all the time? Here is a picture of mine now, not quite complete. Sorry it's the only current picture I have you can barely see the compressor behind the battery. I would like to get rid of it if I could figure how to have a closed system that I can empty the bags when parked.

you can get the same kinda set-up like the Paul Cox air ride kit off of e-bay. I got 2 airbags , compressor and all fittings and lines for about 350 Bux or so. I just needed to fab up the brackets and mounts.
Here is the link:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AIR-B...ht_2413wt_1167
Makes a big difference in riding a rigid on long trips..Comment

a little update. my set up developed a slight air leak. the air fittings on the stock hd will eventually start to crack. the little plastic lines are junk and my air tank may have had a small leak. i tried tracking it down and finally made some changes.
i have now bypassed my air tank completely. two new 12" grease gun lines
go directly from air bags into a tee with a schrader valve. these line are very strong. something like 3,300 psi.
after a month and 1000 miles it may have lost 1 psi.Comment
