120 on an 03 fayboy. Was all it had in it. I lived in West Texas. Good roads. Flat. You can see for miles. Middle of nowhere with no traffic. The birds flying out of the bushes on the side of the road was the scariest part.

Pretty sure I got around 150+ on an 07 Ducati. But I can't recall where I topped out - it was too fast to look away from the road.

Crossing northern Nevada was like that. There were areas where the road was narrower than a residential street, limit was 75, and you could see to the horizon. 100+ was a totally reasonable cruising speed... if you weren't worried about running out of gas, because the next station was in 200 miles.

    So, good story....

I'm riding through Nebraska after camping with some freaks in CA and coming through Nevada (see above). Big load of cargo on my FJ1100, custom rack that has a 2x3 foot platform, loaded with camp gear and desert dust all over everything. Doing 75 or 80, just enough to pass most cars but not get a ticket. Big HD pull past me, rider has a "Bandidos MC Nebraska" jacket on. Guy is doing 90 or so. I'm like, oh, cool, pick up the pace and hang with him. Nice bike, after 5 minutes or so I start crawling up to get a closer look. So he picks up the pace... so I do... so he does. So I just open it up, pull up next to him, and give a "rev up and go" gesture... and we do.

I think I pulled ahead at about 115, and maxed out at 125. Bike will do 140 if I have enough space to run up, but all that cargo...

Fun done, I drop back to 5 feet or so behind, and we ride the next 50 miles or so at triple digit speeds. He had to pull off for gas or something after that, and I didn't follow.

That's actually the second time I've had an "escort" from an MC member. Seems to happen every time I do a 500+ mile ride in the midwest / plains states and have a load of camping gear. The other fella (from Devils Diciples MC Indiana) wasn't as friendly, passed me REALLY close on the left while I was in the left lane. Coulda snagged his getback whip. Him I just waited for my exit to be within 10 miles, then dropped my wrist and vanished over the horizon. His bike wasn't really worth a close look.

Not sure if its common for them to just check out / escort any bike that looks like its pulling long miles, or if the big "rat fink" patch on my jacket (minus any other patches, and a high viz mesh jacket, so obviously NOT colors) has something to do with it.

Always heard about the dreaded dresser wobble and never felt it, one day had my 86 Classic going over 90mph and started to get a little wiggle, said "Oh there it is" and never went that fast again.

125 on a Kawi S2 350 two stroke running down the backside of a long bridge....with a tailwind.
When I was still riding the track on an SV650 I probably did better on the backstretch at the local track but, with no speedo, I'll never know.

    On the street? Red line, top gear on my much breathed on R1. Not sure how fast since stock speedo was a bit off. Top speed in stock trim was about 170 and since I had about 30+ hp over stock I figure well over 180. Still, seemed like cruising compared to top speed (110+) on 2 lane farm roads on this;

Fastest I've ever been is 145mph more or less, on my dad's suzuki. It's pretty normal for me to go 200kmh while going to dinner in a tee and jeans and mx helmet so I'm not riding sport bikes anymore.
Fastest I've felt, as Motocrash experienced, is going full throttle up single-lane mountain twisties on my crf450r, looks like seeing death's own ass at every drift
Fastest on my sporty, 80 on the freeway, it doesn't go any faster LOL

Speedo just touched 161 on my Buell (1125cr) I think that's all out and ready to blow up for that bike. It sure is a fun little bike though and it's windy as fuck at that speed

On my old GSXR 600 I hit 157. Looking back now how I used to ride and some of the crashes I've been in, it's more about the Cruz than the blur now.

my at the time brand new '94 cbr900rr - 162 indicated, no idea how accurate... but the bike was smoooooth.

a couple years ago on my '89 GSXR 750 - 158mph via GPS... then the thought of "how old are these tires???" came into my head.

'67 sportster, hard tail, kinda built - 101mph fucking terrifying... the vibrations were so bad i couldn't feel my arms or legs.

old Byrd mini bike with original rock-hard tires... 27mph via GPS... fastest 27mph i've ever gone.

Probably pretty accurate. On my 95 900rr one tooth up and two teeth down in the rear I hit the governor multiple times at 186mph. I would walk away from GSXR1000 once we got over 100mph. Also hit just shy of 190mph on an RC51 that had a few bucks poured into it.
