1980 moto guzzi

well about 2 months ago i bought 3 cb 350s for a grand. driving home i saw a bmw r80 and sold the cbs the next day. thinking the r 80 would be about 2500 bucks, the guy who owned it couldnt have been more of a dick to me, and wanted 5500 bucks. so i stumbled upon this thing about 2 weeks ago

2500 original miles and doesnt burn a drop of oil so i tore most of it down tonight and built my exahust

awsome little scoot. gonna make a tailsection next week one night and build a set of bars.
probably make my own rear sets for it and build a seat.
its an awsome little bike and a ton of fun already.

Cant believe you cut into that!
With rear sets and a few shit parts taken off and a few performance parts put on you would have had a hell of a bike.

Im interested in seeing what you end up doing with this, but so far I cant wrap my head around what your doing! rears sets are out as far as I can tell and I guess you plan on installing a bunch of heat shields and insulation to protect yourself, your tire and your electronics?

what do you mean by rear sets are out? and i plan on rewiring most of it, and stuffing the battery under the tank in back of the heads.

its only a 500cc. if it was the v70 itd be a different story. ive seen those go for 8grand.

Looks cool! And its nice to find something in good shape to start with, too. I got my parts back from the painter and will have my Guzzi back on the road this month.
