Thread died in 2012 but tiny white date fonts strike again. Too bad I don't know html as surely there's a way to fix that shit. White fonts on tan = brain damaged web design....

I started going into the city on my own in 1979 . My brother just moved into the city to go to NYU and got an apartment at 1st Ave. Between 2nd and 3rd street ( still have it ). The Angels were on 3rd. Street. Big Vinny must have just died because when you crossed over the Williamsburg bridge " In memory of big Vinny , when in doubt knock 'em out" was spray painted on a building over there for a long time .
Later on it was gone but a small brass placard was installed on the wall outside the clubhouse.
Now the clubhouse has moved to the Bronx after all these years.
