Bobbers don't have rear springs, or Sportster tanks or apes. They look like this:

    or it ain't a Bobber.

    nope..
a real bobber is a bike where all the unnecessary parts are taken off to reduce weight and parts are cut short (bobbed) like fenders and such to reduce more weight. nothing is added to the bike.
a real bobber is a bare stock frame with engine, wheels and handle bars. stock frame means it can have a swing arm. a sportster for instance with a weld on hardtail is not a real bobber!
it is a bobber style, but since stuff is welded or bolted on the frame it's no true bobber.

just ask for mono shock custom bikes and you'll get plenty of replies.

Have you swapped sprockets. The Crazy Vibes might just be the stock gearing.

Whether it's a bobber or not is another question..but I think this bike is what the original poster was thinking of. Monoshock rear like a sportsbike, not a softtail.

my 83 750 virago, still monoshock, just cut the spring down, so it only has about 1.75" of bump travel.
