Anybody know if using glitter from a craft store is the same as the more expensive metal flake? Seems to look the same but I wasn't sure if it would lay down differently or just flat out not work.

Go to the craft store and buy some and try it. Glitter is pretty cheap and ones in a variety of sizes.

This DIY flake buster is genius. I've been away from CC for a bit and glad I stumbled back here. I've actually got a gun setup for soda blasting already so I just need to get me some flake on hand for my next paint project.

I tried Hobby store glitter and it went on good and looked good, but would have took alot of clear to cover it. It doesn't seem to lay flat on the surface like the correct metal flake.
