That is pretty cool. I have been eyeballing a heavy duty jack like that thats at the edge of the scrap yard. I can get it for a couple bucks but with my small garage i have to justify it. I have a normal bike jack, but this seems like it would be easier to throw under something then wheel out the big ass jack.

Valve lapping compound on bolts that have damaged threads run them back and forth in a nut a couple of times and they are cleaned right up.

              Bending Jig

7 different diameters for bending anything, can do 1/8" flat stock without heat no problem.

Did all the scroll work on this chalk board on it.

We can't let this thread die. There's way too many of the " What color denim vest should I wear over my flannel that won't clash with my sparkly helmet" threads. We don't need anymore of that!

This is for a real simple Big Twin engine stand. It's made out of 3/16" x 6" flat steel. Cut a piece of it at 25-3/4" long. Take a square and mark it at 1-1/2" / 6-1/2" / 12" / 4-1/4" and 1-1/2"

Take your angle grinder with a cut off wheel and score the steel halfway through, right on the marks you made. This will make for straight and square bends.

Bend them all up using a square to keep them all at 90 degrees Tack each corner to keep em square.

Weld all the seams up and your done.

                          Hi Guys,

Ken from HomemadeTools.net here. We appreciate the creativity and ingenious solutions found everywhere builders of homemade tools congregate.

Great truing stand. I could've used one just like it last year when I did the wheels on my '69 Bonneville.
