Rolled it outside today, figured I'd post a few midway pics from the rebuild. Really sucks deciding to do a "winter rebuild" when we've had nothing but warm days here in PA lately hearing all the bikes riding through town.
Once all the fab work is done, the plan is to take it all apart and get the frame and tins powder coated pearl white and find someone to do some minimal pin striping on certain spots.

Smallston, It's the standard V-Twin Manufacturing (1982-03) weld on hardtail. You can get it from a few places but I bought mine at Bitter End because I think they had the cheapest price at the time.
Kinda fugly MIG welds, but you get what you pay for I guess. http://www.bitterendchoppers.com/Wel...yHardtail.htmlComment

Thanks, I appreciate it. Talked to my buddy Duffy about the pin striping and he's on board after the powder coating is done. Can't wait to ride this thing again!Comment

Really nice, cohesive looking bike. Making multiple components work together without having anything really stand out like a sore thumb is trickier than most people realize. That tank shape is killer too!Comment

Thanks Jay. Gotta be honest, I'm pretty much humbled by your work so thanks for the vote of confidence.Comment

Loved the bike when I first saw it. Keeps killing with every change. Good stuff man!
I just hardtailed my 90 Sporty and idk if I want a laid back ride or something aggressive. Your bike leans me to want a laid back ride.Comment

Thanks Bo and Nerdsports - glad you guys like it. Im not allowing myself to spend much money on this so almost everything repurposed stock parts I had laying around or home made (like the seat, sissy bar, and air cleaner) so it's a bit of a slow go.
Nerdsports, you got a build thread by any chance?Comment
