    Another Newbie Build

This is my first build here so if you think the progress is moving slow lol well it is. I can usually attribute this to the fact that I have to do most things 2 or 3 times before they are done right haha.

Here's what she looked like the day I got her

I got it from my fiance's neighbor, he got it in the condition that it was in. Sat in his garage three years and his whife was tired of looking at it so he gave it to me for free gotta love that.

So I took it and cut the old crappy struts out and fabbed some new struts and a grab bar for a passenger if I decide to have one. Here is a few pics of the strut construction and fit.

Here is the first time I got her to run....

Since the last few pics I have had a few updates. I have since fit the seat, mounted it to the backbone and installed the springs. I also added a modded tombstone style light to the rear fender. I will try and post some more pics later this week of this. For paint I am thinking that I want to incorporate the rising son somewhere considering this is a jap build. Comments positive or negative and suggestions are always welcome like I said this is my first build so basically everything I do on this bike is the first time I have ever done it. Thanks for looking.

Cool, but what is it? Looks like a Kawasaki logo on the timing cover?

Going to mount up a 21' front wheel wheel that I got off a 75 honda xl 175 it has a drum brake in it so I just have to figure out that whole thing. thats about all the chopping I got left honestly other than the normal take the engine out of the frame and clean it up getting rid of tabs and what not and painting it. Some pretty simple stuff and I am on the road baby.
