Ya I hear ya. I like the smaller tanks too, but I had this one and it was mounted and painted so I decided to run it. I really don't think it looks that bad on this bike, but when she gets a re model, it's gonna get a smaller tank and bob the fender a little more.

How about some details / photo of the front engine mount? Don't think I've seen one like that.

I guess it's the engineer in me coming out, but I think it defies sound design. Some of the tendency for the frame to flex due to the loss of triangulation could possibly be reduced by increasing tube diameter and wall thickness, but what a waste of material efficiency, to say nothing of increased weight. Appearance wise, I just can't believe that eliminating the seat post is a worthwhile trade off.

Hey Bob! I'm out of town for a week so I'll post some close ups when I get back. Here are some pics of my frame you can check out, and another that is the same. It has a motor mount up front.

nice.. if everything is wired up and plumbed and finished in that last pic you did a great job of hiding everything.. the only thing Id say is maybe having a low seat and and low bars the gas tank looks like it sits up a little high.
any problems with chain alignment and clearance so far?
Chassis Design has been around a while and make some nice stuff.. you'd think
if they were having frames breaking they would know about it by now..

Thanks Twinkie. Ya that's all plumbed, wired and and running. Ran as much of the wiring as I could through the frame . No alignment or clearance problems. Just ran a renthal sportster chain conversion and it all lined up centered.

OK, got it. Looks like they have a mount that bolts to the engine, and then has bolts that go into the frame mount vertically like a Big Twin. Unusual, but an effective method.

Your bike is really clean, simple uncluttered. I like the negative space without the seat post. The frame is not so cookie cutter like most available. As far as structural integrity, Anthony has been in the game for a while. Unless your planning on jumping 60 foot gaps with that bike, your fine.

Thanks brotha. I know he builds alot of custom frames for people. Also been around for a while, that's why I didn't question him on the seat post. I didn't really know much when I jumped into this project, but I sure do now

Even though it goes against everything we think we know, I think the engine supplies all the rigidity the frame needs.... call it a stressed member... So as long as the motor mounts don't fail, and the engine doesn't break in half, he should be good to go.

It looks great, definitely unique, and probably will never see any type of structural failure. $1700 for the frame though? Plenty of other proven frames out there with nicer geometry at a better price. I dig the bike though!

Thanks dethtrap. I bought the frame 3 years ago and was a lot cheaper. I agree $1700 is a lot of money for a frame, but they also come with the battery box and oil bag
