Dead man throttles
If your twist grip is not equipped with a throttle lock screw what are you using hold hold the throttle open for highway cruising?

I dont like cruise control in vehicles, doubt I would use a throttle lock if I had it but might be nice on the cold days to warm both hands on the jugs?

came across this awhile back, my bike already has a throttle lock, but this is the route I'd consider if it didn't, although I'm not a fan of the throttle lock, but it is nice to have just in case I guess

Mine sticks 100% of the time. I have to roll it back. I'll trade you for one of those fancy ones that returns on it's own.

Is there enough meat on the housing to drill and tap it and use a thumbscrew for a throttle lock?

Actually I've already done that, with this one and the four or five before it. Because I run a throttle return spring on my B, I have to crank down on the screw pretty tight to hold the grip barrel and the threads just dont last all that long.

The housing is steel right? Maybe have a nut welded on there... Not a big deal if you have a friend that can weld.
You might be able to double nut a thread insert too... Then just run the stop in the insert.

my 08 street bob has that little X shaped screw thing that i know is supposed to be throttle lock, but even if i crank it all the way down, it doesn't work.
is there something i need to adjust inside to make it work? too much tension on the return cable maybe?
