ok so i got my bike on the road today... good news, it runs great. a few carb issues but nothin that cant be worked out. bad news, its not charging. i have an aftermarket reg/rect and i have it hooked up to what i thought was right. heres my set up....
reg/rect old wires
3 yellows---- 3 white wires
1 green--- to the neg terminal
1 red---- fused to the batt
1 blue---- stater brush green wire (and wired to key)
1 orange---- stater brush red
i read somthing saying to un ground the wires coming off the stater(witch mine already were. i have a whole nother rotor stator assembley and those wires are grounded.) i tried to ground the assembley and it just blew a fuse. i would appreciate any help possible. i got my reg/rect from a br549bikes on ebay. since all these damn things have diff color wires i was wonderin if any one has got a reg/rect off this guy.
