Thanks ghost, I know it's kinda looking ratty but it's so close to moving I just wanted to ride it for few weeks, and it is a blast to ride and is a true lane splitter . More to come later with paint and powdercoating. But for now I'm hitting the road.

One bad thing though , my high compression pistons are too much for me to kick it over and I'm only a buck 35. Hahaha

Looking good Bob. Hey, sorry, I probably skipped a few pages on the thread, but did you ever provide a description/close up pics of how you did the battery tray? I've been looking for some examples of how people have switched over to a round oil bag and aftermarket battery tray in a stock XL frame and haven't found very many people that have done it.

Thx,
Nose

Hey nose, I didn't really go into details on the battery tray, but to quickly reply it mounts off the rear exhaust support mount. It's a little tricky and I'm not real satisfied with what I came up with. But it works for now. Basically I made a little tray and welded it offset to some angle iron.

Bike looks great! The oil bab looks awsome. When you get time post some more info on how you relocated your battery. I would like to swith my oil bag also. But have no idea how t relocate the battery.

first, you got to get a smaller battery, check out ballistic batteries. there's some other but I don't know them. 2nd, I would go into more detail but I"m right in the middle of packing up and moving to phoenix..... so everything is in boxes, but basically I mounted off the rear exhaust support, the part that is welded to the frame.
