I just Installed a Tach Port Morris Magneto on my Triumph Chop...

There were no videos on You Tube anywhere on this so I had to make my own so other people could benefit from it, sorry if they are not perfect videos I tried my best to show people the install I did.

Having it installed on the left side tach port where it is tucked inside so nicely allows me to use my forward controls. If I had went with the joe hunt, it would have totally been impossible to use my forwards because the hunt mag sticks out too far on the right side, so this was also a huge deal breaker for me. The Morris is a little more money but worth it IMHO. Plus, having the auto advance feature is cool.

Make sure you use non-resistance spark plug wires and I used NGK B8ES plugs, which are a little cooler plug which is better for magnetos.

I can say I am VERY happy with this morris magneto, they make a killer product the thing is rock solid on my tach port, works perfectly, 1 kick every time like butter.....no more battery = priceless.

My stator/alterntor runs the lights just fine it is an upgraded 220 volt stator with a rectifier. When I idle they do dim down but it's fine as soon as you throttle they re bright as can be.

I bought mine from Dave at Seven Sins Choppers in Cali, he is i great dude and was very helpful and has great customer service. They make a killer set of spark plug wires too...Thumbs up. The folks at Morris in NJ are good too, they were great help if I had questions.

If you're considering this type of left side, tach port mounting for a Mag I say it's a totally win, thumbs up!

I've had mine for about a year and a half on a 500. Just a footnote, they say they are for unit triumphs, but they don't exactly fit the 500 unit, you have to make some modifications. I wouldn't trade it for anything though, through a shorted out electrical system and a failed battery, the mag always gets me home.

Well, it's true in a way I know what you mean, I did have to file/grind the bottom of the Mag just a tiny bit because according to Morris the Triumph 750's (which is what I have) have slightly bigger cases than the 650's so I did have to shave a little off the bottom of the mag. But, it was fine took me 10 minutes and it cleared after that no problem. Maybe took half a millimeter off, that's it.
