My Triumph 650 build

Whats up guys... I started this bike about two years ago after seeing a couple triumphs in my area... I soon realized I needed one as soon as possible.. bought the loop for an outrageous price because of my lack of knowledge at the time...since then I've done my research.. the bikes been put together piece by piece.. the 650 is a 71 Tr6.. that came with a title thankfully.. the girder is from what I believe is a BSA m20... Currently I've been working on the steering yoke and exhaust... I'm sending the mill out to get rebuilt within the next couple weeks... all the fabrication and machine work excluding the engine work is done in my garage here in NJ.. Some of you guys on JJ probably have seen this build in the past.. I'll post some previous build pictures followed by all the current stuff...thanks
Mike

I'm no metallurgist, but I am certain that is brass ,not bronze.

Looks killer!

Are you at all concerned about not using the factory rubber mounts on your tanks?

But anyway. Please keep it coming.

thanks for the interest guys... I'm still working on the exhaust.. having trouble bending the stainless tubing.. tried the sand bending method but as I was heating the tube I ran out of O2... I put together a short video of the progress, I'll be doing a new part for each section of the bike until its finished... BTW I have the rubber mounts for the tank and I plan on recessing them into the tank where the threaded portion is now..

Love what you've done. My 66 will look similar, I just scored a 1930s triumph girder that looks very similar to yours. Keep us updated.

How did you convert the late triumph wheel to a girder that needs a bolt on axle?

Retro-rob- I'll probably end up making my own axle for it.. I spent the last couple week sanding and grinding the shit out of the cases for polishing... I could have saved myself a good amount of money buy sending them out to get polished but I'd rather do it my self... and I'm sure if i were to send them out they probably wouldn't have sanded them from 320 grit to 1500 wet in the bath tub lol.. I'm also measuring all the bearing surfaces to make sure they are in spec.. hopefully send out the jug for .010 rebore and hone next week..
