Lets see some cb's......

I mostly build harleys, and Triumph's so Hondas arent really my thing yet.... I just picked up this bonneville record holder(in 1978) from a guy here in town and it came with a truck bed full of extra parts. So i figure since i have enough parts to build a new motor i should do it and build a bike around it. I would like to see some modified hondas so i can get my creative juices flowing. Thanks in advance.

One of my boys is running the CycleX carb set up and his RIPS!!

I've recently heard that the rec/reg from the DOHC's aren't the best to run. People have gone with after market combos with no problems at all. They ain't cheap though, 80-90 bucks for a new one.

You should check this guy's page out. Have seen some pictures of his restoration jobs on bikes and he has a how to build your own reg rectifier for DOHC's that uses GM parts.
First link is home page.
http://polymer52.webs.com/motorcyclediysinfo.htm

Second is PDF instructions for building reg/rectifier. Pretty straight forward and cheap too

IMO, the CB750 is one of the meanest looking motors out there. I always wanted to do a 750 chop.
