What Engine do YOU think sounds the best?

I think they all sound cool, except the evo...just no 'soul'...too clean. But for me, it is the ironhead, hard to explain but very distinctive. Plus the noise from the tappets is just an added bonus.

sound of knuck pan shovel and ironhead vs evo is that they had hemi heads. the evo with bathtub looking heads just doesn't have the same sound.. in my opinion anyhow

this threads biased towards big twins , where the k model or the evo sporty yea it says evo but the evo sporty sounds way dif to the big twin ,, an wheres the twin cam

Shovel with solid lifters, one gear grind off on the cam for a little gear drive noise, open belt for belt noise, rattler steels in the clutch for noise. high dur/lift cam.

I don't have a lot of experience with pans and knucks. Spent an awful lot of time listening to my shovel while I ride around and I can tell a shovel before I see it normally. Ironheads and Evo sportys both can have a very nice sound to the. Evos and twincams occasionally sound nice, but a lot of times have kinda a flat sharpish sound to them. Just my $0.02

Shovelhead is by far my favorite; BUT they all sound great to me. I just like the sound of motorcycles.
