Anyone know how to Decode an old Honda VIN?

I'm trying to verify the year of the Honda Chop I picked up the other night. I've searched the net, but can't find anything for older than 81.

    Thanks

I just want to verify the year.

The numbers I got off the motor are as follows:

              CB750E-1001595

I didn't see anything on the frame. As ugly as it is I think it was custom. Lots of bondo work on the joints.

              Thanks for any help guys!

Thanks everyone. It appears that it IS a Sandcast 750. So yeah, I guess it was a good trade, hahahaha.

                    Thanks again Chopcult!!!
