i have a question. i was thinking about cutting off my stock pipes to change up the sound. just wanted to know what you guys with rebels think. would it sound "better"?

This is one I found on the Rebel forums. Guess he ended up scrapping the turbo idea because he couldn't get it to run right after the initial run..

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum I have a Rebel I built this summer and love riding it. I dig this site and all the different bikes I see here. So here's my little Rebel tell me what you think good or bad or don't.

I rode a friends new Rebel 250 the other night and everything felt "soft." Are they all like that? What I mean is that both brakes felt squishy, the shift lever had too much play, and the steering felt pathetic. I did get laid that night though, and I'm pretty sure giving the girl a ride on the bike was a contributing factor lol

This thing rules. Makes me think. Anybody know if the shock mounts are moved or if it has shorter shocks or what?

If I remember right thats stock 10.5 in Rebel shocks in stock location.

The shocks are stock and in the stock location on the Machine-13 bike. The thin seat probably makes it look lower also the front has been lowered some. I moved the shock mounts back a couple of inches on my Rebel to get the look I was after.

Rebels are cool little bikes and I think all the ones in this thread are dope. I was just talking to my ex today and she had her eye on a rebel. She is 4'11" so I bet it would haul her ass around nicely. Keep em coming guys.

Say what you want about Rebels, but I weigh about 275 and my Rebel carries me just fine. It is what it is, a 250. Not a speed demon, but bad ass cool little bikes!! Great job on these bikes posted!! Keep them coming!!
