just remember, you can always fix it. there are some universal hardtail kits out there, or you could buy a hardtail for something else and make it fit. you can always weld the hardtail tubes to the swing arm and then cut it off. that would keep your axle plates straight and in the right place. have fun. cut it up. if you've got experience and tools, you can do it.

Man the first bike I chopped was a 95 shadow that I paid $500 for. All I did was clean the carbs and put a battery in it and it ran! That was a fun ass bike too. They are monoshock so they look like a hardtail to begin with. Plus thy are really simple to hardtail because of the frame design
