    Default Should I buy it?

O.K. I know nothing about Triumphs. But I found this sitting on the side of the road. I have not yet made contact with the owner yet but his girl told me it's up for grab's at $500.00.
So, would you you do it...I am really feeling this machine. All I know about this bike is it needs a home.

Well it sure is a project- if your looking for a new one and wanna get into british bikes, id think 500 wouldn't be to bad of an initial investment- just know your gonna spend atleast twice that in getting it roadworthy

@ inxs.....take a look at my threads, "what do think and what do you think part 2"....my bike was just like this one and I questioned whether I should buy it or not....guess what, early bird gets the worm! I questioned myself right out of buying it. It took me 3 years as a "Craigslist Stalker" to find that thing again....luckily, the guy that had it, lost his job and I had the cash and the rest is chopper history...

BUY BUY BUY ! Hell, I gave over double that for my '69 Triple, True, you will likely spend another $1000 getting her sorted & road worthy, and legal, but , you can do this over time, part by part. I think in the end you'll have a pretty sweet scoot fer $1500ish Noticed that it is a right side shift, which means its going to be around a 72/73 or earlier I believe, as sometime around then all bikes had to have right side brake /left shift for US safety requirements. I cant help but giggle a bit about the chain they have it chained to the tree with. $500 is a steal, even if the damned thing won't roll.

Looks like a great start for $500, keep in mind you will spend more than $1000 being said above... shoot you will have probably $500 just in tires, battery and brakes... Rocker cover is unbolted and part of the exhaust is off... so hopefully the engine runs. If it doesn't you have a good frame and wheels, to say nothing of other parts. Please don't plan on a running bike for $1500, budget at least $2500 over time. Maybe you will get lucky and not spend that much. But plan on it.
