XS650 wiring reg/rect ?????

so i got a reg/rectifier on ebay. pretty much the same as the one from mikes xs and the wiring diagram dont make sense for shit. im wondering if anyone has had luck using one of these things and if so could ya give me a lil bit of help. this is what came with it however the colors on the old harness dont match what he has described there. like i dont have an old blk. ground?

Rectifierside (6 space connector block)

New unit Old wiring

3-yellow to 3-white

1-red to 1-red

1-green to 1-black



Regulator side (3 space connector block)

New unit Old wiring

Orange to Green

Blue to Brown

Black*



*For an improved secondary ground run a black wire from the base of the new unit and splice it into the negative battery lead or run the wire to the black wire in the connector block.

this setup works great. and its XS specific, but i would imagine you could do it with reg/rec combo

got it all wired today just waitin on my single point set up from mikes xs. thanks for the help guys

Guessing my reg/rec is the same as the one from mikes. (same colors)

I just finished up rewiring everything tonight, should know tomarrow if everything is gravy or if the sorry bastard is goin back under the knife. If it all works out alright I will do a quick write-up/diagram since I've seen this question asked all over.
