I'm far from the most knowledgeable person about welding. But the thing that helped me the most was getting the direction right. I'm actually good at arc welding, and was using my mig in a similar fashion, which isn't right. My friend told me to push the puddle instead of pull it when you're using a MIG...and that improved my welds a lot. Not that they're anything to write home about, but they're better than they were.

Idea: check the specs on Shorai batteries, tiny 'effers they are. Tiny bat=tiny battery box. And the batteries can be run
upside down, sideways or whatever.

Thank the lord basics over!! In tech training now thinking of how I'm going to rebel my bike! I plan once I get to my duty station i should be in a house with a one car garage ( seems to be most air force base housing has them) but I plan to strip the bike all the way down to nothing and start over again taking my time and making it look good

bike

I dont know about the 900 swing arm sorry, So heading home and then to my first duty station (where I should have a garage If not well then I'll just finish it and ride!) in a few weeks, the bikes going to get stripped first new paint on the motor polished everything, I'm going to take my time, re paint the frame and tins, I'm hoping to get a set of rabbit ear bars and use some inverted levers as well as switch to a drum up front or remote mount the MC that may be a better option....

maybe if i can find someone willing to take my front end and wheel as a trade + cash for a springer i would do that to I would love a springer set up on the bike.

any ideas? for anything? color scheems ?

Take a look at the two of them in one of those online parts fiches that places like Bikebandit have.
It may not answer the question for sure, but will give you some clues.

well

This is how I left my bike...

Sad to see it looking like this. covered in shit not even half way done.. I never got to buff the paint and stuff when I was at home I didn't end up having time maybe soon when I get out of here....

Any idea if you can run an internal throttle and a set of inverted bars?
