small update. i made a pigtail to temporarily wire in the tsm and the speedo so that not only can i hopefully do a relearn but so i can use the speedo indicators lights. also, this pigtail could come in handy later on as a lot of the codes can be read diretcly from the speedo so ill keep on to this and take it off the bike as i dont need it on all the time....the actualy speedo will only show my codes because i do not have a speed senser wire, just a grd, power, and the data from the ecm for communication....
hopefully i get the relearn right tonight, if not ill be taking it to the dealer....i am in crunch time because smokeout is only a few weeks away

update
the bike is running minus all the wires that the stealership said i had to have. i sent my ecm to Cosmo Kramer from xlforum, net and he did a password reset for me. fired right up. i could not perform a password reset correctly for some reason but i am thinking it had something to do with some missing wires from the speedo etc but who cares. it does run very lean but thanks to a fellow 33'er i will be getting a dobeck tuner in a few days so hopefully i can wire it up and fix that problem. then i will wrap up the wiring nice and tight. i still have a few more small issues. front end hop at low speeds that i have to track down......but im not going to smokeout....just too much to do before friday and i work 630am til 9pm all week

Hey man, Im curious why don't you just get the screamin eagle pro super tuner? you can download the software for free. its the same price as a power commander and you can tune the ECM, not intercept signals from the ecm. Its a great tool. Its what I have on my 07 sporty chop and I've never had so much as a hiccup at all.

Too bad we didn't have something like ECMSpy like Buells have. thats free and works just like the SEPST

yeah I looked for a long time. You need the PRO one. the STREET one is just an expensive power commander. It locks you out of a lot of the functions of the software.
Harley part number 32109-08B
you also need the cable kit. I bough thte software and the training DVD, but never even opened the dvd. Watched a couple vids on youtube about how to do it. My software with thePRO has auto tune capabilities and it narrowed it down pretty good. Made a world of difference.
Just dont get dooped into buying a used one. they marry to the VIN number and can not ever be used on another bike. (only thing that sucks about it.)

the PRO (that part number i posted) works on any 07 or newer harley. the STREET one only works on like touring, xl, dyna, etc...
The dongle you have to buy really is a gimmick. its just an interface between your computer and the ecm. its a way for Harley to lock out the average joe. With buell you can run a cord straight from your computer to the ECM and tune it that way. You flash your ecm then take the dongle and put it away, just like a factory bike. no need to have the extra unit stuffed under your seat or soemthing. I didnt care buying the unit, youd have to buy the unit with a power commander anyway, BUT if they were not in the business of making money, they COULD have just made it work with the software and not the dongle.

good stuff dude! real glad to hear you got her up and running. I'm up and running as well. I put the cart before the horse on a few steps (rookie builder mistakes that I won't ever make again) so I've only been able to run around the block. Still needing to grind some shit on the frame fix my clutch cable set up and a new front wheel set up. but them i'm in!

i swapped it to carb. did a how to on it, it is floating around on here somewhere in the forums. i got the efi running but just never rode it because the wires had no where to go. it is almost done now, had a few issues with the carb comversion but pretty small. now it is just getting some final touches. thinking of leaving the new tank bare metal. here are some pics.
i am going to take the site glass out of the tank when it gets too cold to ride. i dont like it
