Mountainfest WV

I'm heading to Mountainfest WV this year for the first time with some buddies... I'd love to hear from anyone who's been... Looking to find out what falls in the "don't miss" or "don't bother" categories...

Also what might be some cool day trips from Morgantown...

We're getting there Thursday night and leave on Monday Morning.

I am hoping to make it down for a day this year... but I say that every year and something always comes up.

Had some buddies that went last year, said camping was a good time... I think they have ride maps and WV has some pretty good / fun riding roads, once you get out of town I don't think you can really go wrong.

I think cyclesource participates to some degree in Mountianfest, I think they had a limpnicki lot last year don't know if they are doing that again this year... I could be completely off on that althogether.

Yea 28-31.. We're going this year because we heard about it from the Justified Defiance guys while at SOE last year. From some of what I've seen on the Web it looks like a good time...

My crew is riding up from NC for it this year. The rally itself looks alright, but I've done a little riding in WV and the roads there are awesome, so it's worth it just to go and ride.

Mountainfest '12?

Any one going or especially avoiding the Morgantown Merchandise event this year? And a better question being with Cycle Source being involved is there any grass roots excitement going on? Any backwoods kind of parties going? Or are we gonna have to start one hahaha.

Im headed down tomorrow from PA. My plan is to get settled in, then ride as far into the woods as I can. Once it gets dark I'll craw back to town.
Always fun to people watch with a buzz on.

Decided to head out there this year. Not much into walking around town looking at bikes or sitting in traffic, so we are just looking to ride some nice roads. It will be cool to have a spot to come back to and drink, hear some music and chill after a day of riding. It will be even cooler knowing that thats the plan for the next day too.
