After a year of selling and trading parts, then about two weeks of work. Still got a ways to go to get it just right but I'm happy w/ it for now.

The Bike Shop in San Antonio did the major work, I did the small stuff in my garage. Its 12 inches up and four inches out. Used Franks 12 over tubes and deleted the stupid looking front engine mount. Thanks man.

Just finished this thing yesterday. Still have to clean up some wires and cables, but it's coming along. Up next are some 4 over tubes and an 18 inch rear.

Working on making this engine reliable again, but overall very happy with frame & components.

Here are three of my current Sportys. The 06' was finished last year as a mild bobber. The paint is black cherry, front fender is Arlen Ness, rear fender is a wrecked Suzuki front fender redone by me. I rebuilt it from a wreck and wrote an article for "Road Hawk Magazine" called the "Budget Bobber". The entire bike, including the purchase price of the bike, was completed for just a little over $2500. The third bike is still a work in progress, it's a 1980 Sporty. Featuring a hopped up engine: 060 over pistons, thin head gaskets, ported heads, stainless steel valves, beehive springs, polished S&S intake, S&S carb, "P" cams, and coke bottle mufflers. Progressive suspension provides the rear shocks and front springs. It is about 90% done and hopefully it will be running in another month. The second one is of my 74' Sporty which features gold metallic candy apple red paint with airbrush work. It has aluminum rims and Mustang Cobra seat along with Flanders bars. The engine has high comp forged pistons, "P" cams, Weber DCOE 44mm dual throat carb, Magnason forward swept intake manifold, titanium valves, and wrapped dump pipes....... along with my friend Becky keeping the bike company.
