Scored this one last week. Mostly stock XLX. Swapped the seat that was on it for the fastback (came with the bike) and added some 8" risers. Need to come up with a mount for the gauges and will probably hide them under a cowl fairing. Other than some tasteful powdercoating, and maybe a suspension upgrade this one is going to get ridden mostly as is while the Panshovel comes together. Has a Super E and electronic ign. but I'd be lying if I said I wasnt a little disappointed compared to my old 1200 Evo Sporty. Still for just over two g's, Im calling it a score.

Thanks man. You see quite a few 6 overs, but the 8 is a rare breed.

Nah man the sissy bar wasn't an option. drilled two holes at the top near the sides, took a round file to em to get the openings to set the bar right, and welded em inside the mount. Used 5/8 round bar and a hand held torch. bent it up and made it work. don't care much for the old style crazy frank sissy bars mounted on the outside so i incorporated mine into the mount.

Work in progress. Made my handlebar. I'm gonna make the sissy bar this week. Need to find out why my fucking throttle cable have no slack ( the housing of the cable is to small. The cable itself is long enough for my new single wire throttle. )
Tomorrow i'll work on that and also make my simple brake system i've seen here somewhere. Those guy that use plastic tube to put the brake fluid box in it. Love it !

Thanks nofendertom. Powdered the mags, new sissy bar, new paint on the tank and cleaned up some of the other parts. Never done.
