    KZ 200 tire size help

    Hey guys,
I got a KZ 200 1977 that I am looking to get some new fat tires for, does anyone know of any references on how to know how wide I can go with the front and back??
Stock tires are 2.75-18 Front, and 3.25-17 Rear, but wondering how much wider I can go?
    Thanks for the help

you could go about 2 sizes wider on the rear before you start running into probs with chain clearance.

i had one of these, i had a 3.5 on front and rear. It helps that the rims are very narrow, so it keeps the tire pretty narrow.
They were vintage style tires so that helped too. Careful with modern tires they mushroom a little more.

The chain wasn't the issue in the rear it was the tire being too wide and the base (start) of the swing arm. you have .5" of clearance roughly with the axle adjusters, but keep in mind with that the wheel is adjusted all the way to the rear, so you have no real play left in wheel tension/chain tension if you are already back the whole way...
