This is a diagram for a 550 But I would think it would work on a 750.

work and weather has prevented me from working on the bike until this weekend. Because I don't have a garage I have to wait for monsoon rains to subside before doing any work...
Chopped the tail off today, put shorty shocks on (dropped it about 3"). Yanked the forks out and i will be draining/chopping those tomorrow if the rain holds..

I think I look like a gorilla fucking a soccer ball on the thing with the mid controls. I will try to address that later..

            some more work done today-
Made a box for all of the electric shit that will sit right below the seat. Also cut off and ground down a bunch of mounts

Took the forks apart to lower them

also made some plates to cover the holes in the frame from the tail chop..hopefully more updates this week..

did a little more today...I had a few fatboy fenders lying around and I cut one into little pieces...

the sides aren't even but I just wanted to get the basic shape. I also found out that my lower triple trees are tweaked so i have to find a new set...

dug out some rusted and dusty tanks from the stash...

chopped em' and discovered a shitty lining job complete with rust..

now to find a way to get these to fit with a triple backbone....

Worked on the lower fork legs

                  4 less bumps..

                  shaved

Not really. I ordered a new fuse box from Eastern Beaver and had it shipped to my parents house. The thing was delivered after a month and whoever signed for the package lost it...so i am out $90 and I don't have a fuse box..painted the lower legs and i am trying to find time to get over there to do some more work..maybe this week sometime..

If you have been to GS Resourses you may have found
this already but if not then there is a ton of GS stuff here including wiring diagram's. http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/
                        I'm watching your build.

This project has stalled for now. I haven't had the time or money or location to work on it. I picked up a Yamaha xj650 that I have been cheaply turning into a cafe racer in my brother-in-laws garage. As soon as that is finished and out I will drag this carcass out and over there to start working on it again.
Link to the cafe pics if anyone cares..
I just picked up this bike a week ago. It needed steering head bearings and fork seals but it is a runner otherwise. I am just doing a mild cafe transformation as I use it as an around town beater ANNNNND as I slowly try to work on my gs750 The day I got it home... This front end is terrible...
