Wow, I tune into this thread about once every couple of weeks because I've been a cheerleader for Rene for about a year now when I tasked him to make me a set of bars. Every time I come back and take a look, he's just stepping it up, bringing out something new, something better, something creative...something original.
Rene, you just never cease to amaze, my man. It started with bars and struts, and not all that long ago. And now, well, everyone can see what you're doing down in the desert of southern Cali. You have an amazing talent for the work that you do, and the work ethic, good attitude and customer service that is rarely found in small businesses that I've dealt with in the past. Keep doing what you're doing, because you are on the path to becoming a superstar no matter what you do. You are a quiet inspiration and you embody what CC is all about.

'04 and up sporty Low Profile seat!
This seat is for those looking for a ridiculously clean seat for '04 and up sportsters. If you decide to run one of these seats, you must chop off the rear tank block. If that's too much for you, I also can make seats around that block. Theyre still super clean, just not as low pro.
Even though its thin, its still very comfortable. I use a closed cell foam that's nicely supportive. its available in leather or vinyl and in nearly any design for the cover. Ie diamond, vertical pleat, horizontal pleat, etc etc.

Looks flippin' great man. I wish the front of my seat was like that, how it goes up a little on the backbone. I may be interested in doing another seat now haha.

Powdercoat option is Back!!!
After much searching, I finally found a powdercoater who can handle what I do and with a short turn-around time. I just got these bars done in CLEAR. They look and feel great. Thanks!

MercMo Apprentice
As some of you know, I took on an apprentice about 6 months ago. (since March 2012). His name is Jonas. He's a real good dude most of the time... Then there's times when I wanna throw something at him. But all in all, I'm glad I am able to help him get a start on life after high school. Teach him something he can take to supportive levels or maybe just be really good at one of his hobbies. Plus, chicks dig dudes that can mash metal.
Jonas is a real asset to MercuryMoto. Without him, I'd be stressing way more than I am now. So thanks man. Keep up the good work. I know I'm not the easiest person to be around all day, so thanks for not breaking my arm! Haha
As a side project for the shop, I convinced Jonas to chop up his bike. I used my mind trick powers to get him to cut up his daily ride. Since then, we've done some minor frame mods, chopped up the rear fender, made a whole new seat, chopped up his gas tank and built him some bars. There's still some more left to do till its back on the road, but here's some pics of the latest stage in the build.
For you other shop owners; consider taking in a young helper. Choose someone you can trust and get along with. You both win.

Chrome Powdercoat
Well, I haven't had the Chrome option for some time now due to super long turn-around with my old chromer. So I dropped it. Since I've found my new powdercoater, he's shown me some pretty cool stuff that I didnt know about powdercoating. One being this "ultimate Chrome." I think its pretty damn cool although it looks more like a semi polished aluminum or stainless. My favorite...

Rene, my mag wheels and the bars that you made for me are at the powdercoater getting that same "chrome" powder right now. I dig the look of it. Looks like polished aluminum. Would look cool for doing small parts as well like battery trays and seat pans.
