Yes many of them do........... A beer can or starter shims works just fine if it's real thin,,,,,

The cradle for the adjustment screw was holding up the back of the trans giving me a gap. Think I'll space the cradle down with a washer to give me a flush trans to plate.
I also found that when I lay the plate by itself in the frame it makes contact across the front mount and also the rear left.
So I'm left with a gap on the rear right that's in the pic

Can I shim this between the frame and plate for a flush mount all the way around? The image is upside down.

Thst transmission is bolted to the wrong side of the plate.

The transmission adjuster is in its correct spot in the relief of the plate but when the transmission is on the plate the open side of the adjuster faces up.

So , you’re bolting your transmission to the erong side.
Maybe its flatter on the other side.

I thought it was the wrong way myself, but mine is after market without the adjuster,
but ya dead right, going by the book (the right way up) it's bloody obvious,...
they are a real cheap item to replace with new then no problem.........
