Last Ride ( of the year ) - What are you doing this winter

Today is supposed to hit 50* and then it drops quickly back into the 30s.

I want to ask Jesse to look at the heads on my Pan so I am thinking today will be my final ride before I tear Brown Sugar down for the winter.

Along with the heads I need to figure out the small transmission leak, so it comes out. I also want to do new handlebars with internal wiring and finally I am thinking about repainting the gas & oil tanks, after looking at it all year I now have some ideas to bring the whole look together.

So for those of you who live in Winter's wonderland, when will you quit for the year and what will you be doing this winter?

Here in the UK it's not too cold yet, but with salt on the roads the four shiney ones don't go out. My poor old fxr gets no break though! This winter, my Pan's getting painted, then reassembled.

It was ...bracing... today, but Brown Sugar LOVED it. The harder I pushed the more she seemed to be enjoying herself. I certainly missed having a full beard, but I did bring a balaclava along so I was good to go.

They are saying tomorrow might also hit 50s but may be raining, then it drops down.

My winter project is to start restoring a 66 mustang I picked up a few months ago.

I've got some small things to tidy up on my evo girl's bike: Cleaning, Polishing, new small parts to install, cam cover trim and a rewire.

A friend and I picked up a first year evo Sportster basket case. Someone did a full tear down, including splitting the cases. Two guys had it before us and gave up before starting. Hoping to get it on the road for spring. Will try to put a build thread up here.

I will waken early and drink a cup.
I will relocate snow that is dispersal camping in my driveway and walkways.
I will carry firewood and build fires and dry wet clothes.

As far as any winter bike stuff.
I will put on my freshly re-built Works Racing shocks and hopefully install a new swingarm bearing kit in my FXR.

My first wife and I had a set of '67 Mustangs, her's was this cream colored fastback rally model with driving lights in the grill, mine was a puke green 6 cylinder with a three speed stick shift. Fun cars, wish I still had hers.

I'm really excited to get into it. Spring may be a little optimistic, but we shall see. The other fella is heading to Japan to take in the Mooneyes show, so we'll start when he is back. I will do a build thread if I can sort out one minor detail: A camera. I use a flip phone that is pretty well useless for pictures, but I will try to come up with something.
